The Most Visited Winery In America?
Did you know that North Carolina boasts more than 525 vineyards?
Or that it was the first region and state to produce wine, making it the home to America’s first grape?!
North Carolina is also the only place in the world where every major type of grape is grown, and is home to America’s most visited winery, Biltmore Winery, which also happens to be one of our favorites!
Surrounded by scenic views including landscapes from the Appalachian mountains we strongly encourage wine enthusiasts to visit this amazing winery located in the heart of Antler Hill Village.
Biltmore offers complimentary tastings, an indoor/outdoor wine bar, and specialty wine experiences, including a red wine and chocolate tasting, a behind-the-scene wine and tour tasting, and a wine and cheese hour.
The wine experts and wine hosts will take you through the Biltmore’s award-winning reds, whites, and rosés. You’ll be able to choose from 20 handcrafted wines to sample, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Riesling, Chardonnay, and Merlot.
There’s nothing quite like tasting wine where it was made, and your options here are plentiful. Whether you’re interested in sampling wines, learning more about wine making, shopping for Wine Nots or just relaxing with some delicious food and wine, there’s much to see, taste and do!
Note: if you are a winery interested in providing Wine Nots for your tastings please contact us.
When tasting a number of red wines, we understand that stained teeth, tongue, lips, and mouth can be a problem. We also know the struggle of lingering aftertastes on your palate. Recently, our founder and CEO Lynette Batton visited Biltmore to share Wine Nots!
When you plan your next visit, remember to ask about Wine Nots to completely cleanse your mouth after an afternoon of tasting and indulgence. Take photos, smile bright, eat, drink, and merry!
